About me
I'm Roya, a UX/UI designer who grew up in the Northeast. After an unexpected detour in Austin, TX for some cowboy boots and BBQ, I now find myself amidst the hustle and bustle of New York City.
I am passionate about the intersection of human-centered design, social entrepreneurship, and emerging technologies. I believe that design alongside interdisciplinary collaboration has the power to share stories, spread empathy, and foster accessible digital and physical spaces.
I'm currently a senior product designer at Chptr, a memorialization platform for preserving and sharing memories of departed loved ones. Previously, I worked with ClosedLoop.ai, a healthcare technology startup that uses machine learning technologies to predict the future so healthcare providers can change it.
Driven by my commitment to designing for dignity and usability, I aspire to create products that contribute to an enhanced and more equitable human experience.
